Each state in the AAHSA region has its own requirements and regulations that pertain to independent schools. We encourage you to be in contact with your state Department of Education or your state independent school association for questions of state compliance. AAHSA accreditation calls for schools to meet all applicable state laws. We offer the following list of state departments of education as a starting point for your research.
